Jury Rights Outreach – Brentwood (4/4/16)

The Rights Brigade was out enjoying the spring snow this week for jury nullification outreach at the Rockingham County courthouse in Brentwood, NH.

This was the third week of selection for Rockingham County jurors, and most had already received a pamphlet from the previous two weeks of outreach. BJ Mumford carried out the operation with a smile and a warm “good morning!” to the shivering citizens. 5 pamphlets were distributed to potential jurors.

Jury nullification is where a jury decides not to convict a defendant because doing so would yield an unjust result, even if the law is applicable in that case. Jury rights activists hand out informative pamphlets to jurors to educate them about their rights.
