Jury rights outreach – Manchester (4/4/16)

Today I conducted jury nullification outreach in an unseasonally snowy Manchester.

Jury nullification is where a jury chooses not to convict a defendant because applying the law in that case would yield an unjust result. Jury rights activists like myself inform jurors of this right via informative pamphlets provided by NH Jury.

A snowstorm blew into town, causing jurors to be much more rushed in their entry to the courthouse than usual. I was also going it alone, and the Manchester courthouse entrance has two directions of approaching jurors, making it easy for some to slip through. Still, I managed to reach most of them. No trouble and very little rudeness.

74 new jurors were reached.
