Jury rights outreach – Brentwood (4/11/16)

Today I assisted in jury nullification outreach in Brentwood.

Jury nullification is where a jury decides not to convict a defendant because applying the law in that case would yield an unjust result. Activists inform jurors of their right to nullify bad laws by distributing informative pamphlets.

I was joined by Emmy Andersen. The selection had been cancelled. It was one of the later ones of the juror pool, which usually have very sparse pickings. It was still well worth my while to connect with Emmy and plot more wonderful things to save the world.
