Liberty activists conducted jury nullification outreach in Keene today.
Jury nullification is when a jury decides not to convict a defendant of a victimless crime, and instead elects not to convict. Most jurors are unaware of this right, and jury rights activists hand out pamphlets in front of courthouses in order to inform them.
Activists present were Ian Freeman and Christopher Waid (not pictured).
Jury outreach was AGAIN canceled, but activists stayed and connected with the several potential jurors who hadn’t gotten the notice of cancellation – they’ll be back for next month’s pick. Plus, they did “Don’t Take a Plea Deal” outreach and handed out a couple dozen of those fliers.
This operation was conducted as part of the January jury nullification campaign. You can track the campaign’s progress, and donate to support its completion, here.
