We believe that every human being has a right to justice. Law enforcement officials have a duty to protect the legal rights of citizens, not ignore them. We believe the victimless have a right to defend their innocence, and that all individuals have a right to due process, not only in legal court but in the court of public opinion as well.
Justice holds a special importance among all rights. Without justice, all other rights become difficult to grasp. Therefore, the defense of all other rights includes an element of the defense of the right to justice.
Our activism efforts in defense of the right to justice center around monitoring law enforcement activity and ensuring officials respect the legal rights of individuals. Other approaches include jury outreach, court appearances, law enforcement department outreach, and support to the incarcerated.
